Q: How do I make a call?

Making a call is very simple. Go to the Home Page and Sign up. Once you have created a profile select 'launch Sitris', a new window will pop up on your desktop. You will see in the top left of the user interface, click "Make Call".

Step 1:

Enter the desired destination number including area code and local number. (or pick it from your Contacts by double clicking on the entry). If you need to make an international call choose the country you want to call from the drop down list (default is your country code)

Step 2:

Enter your area code and phone number (for example: 098 7654 321), or select one of your preset numbers from the drop down list.)

Step 3:

Now click the CONNECT button. Your phone will ring. Answer it and wait while Sitris connects your call.

Q: Sitris doesn't accept my destination number. Why?

Check the number is valid, make sure you have the full area code and local number. Do you have credit to make the call? Login to your Sitris account to top up your credit.

Q: People find it difficult to understand my Sitris voice.

Try slowing down the voice, you can do this in the My Voice tab and save the setting or use the slider on the Call tab for the current call session.

Q: Can I speak into the phone when using Sitris?

Yes, Sitris sets up a end to end connection so you can hear the other party and speak into the handset/handsfree if you want.

Q: What is a Gilded phrase?

A glided phrase is one of a list of phrases that have been recorded by the voice talent to include a certain amount of intonation or emotion. To indicate you want to use a gilded version of a phrase or word add the exclamation mark "!" at the end, for example un-gilded wow, will sound neutral, with the "!" behind it WOW! will sound more expressive. Gilded phrases are listed in the tutorial section and will only work with Simon, Susan, Dave and Kate.
