No, Sitris uses your Web browser to provide the functionality, you do not download any application software to your PC.

Q: Does Sitris work over a dial-up connection?

Yes, the Sitris User Interface built in Flash is about 700K and when you first connect should download in about 2.5-3 mins over a 56K modem, because Sitris only transmits small amounts of data in the course of session there should be no problem using a dial-up Internet connection to make a call.

Q: What are the system requirements?

Sitris's requirements are very basic - any type of computer (PC / Mac / Linux etc.) with any type of Internet connection (56k, ISDN, DSL, ADSL, Cables etc.) and one of the popular web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla etc.). You will also need an available phone line (land-line or mobile) to receive the incoming Sitris call.

A call made by Sitris is like a regular telephone call – you use your regular telephone device (i.e. Fixed or mobile) and not a headset connected to a computer. You will only hear spoken text through your PC speakers when previewing a phrase in your phrase categories, the sound you hear during a call is through the phone.
