TroubleshootingSitris is running slowly
If your PC is busy with other tasks such as virus scans or downloading a large file from the Internet Sitris may experience a delay in previewing audio or transmitting text. Check there are no background tasks that may be making demands on the CPU, PC memory or the network connection, pause any file downloads until you have finished your call.
Why can’t I hear the preview Audio?
When I click on preview in the phrases panel I don’t hear any sound.
- Check that you have not muted the PC speakers on the desktop.
- Make sure you still have a functioning Internet connection.
- If you are using a headset check it is plugged in.
Why won’t the Sitris interface launch for me?
- Make sure you still have a functioning Internet connection, The web site may still function from cache but the user interface will only function when you have access to a functioning Internet connection.
- The default setting in the browser is always set to enabled, however, you may have disabled JavaScript in the browser security settings.
Sitris does not call me when I enter my telephone number?
- Check you have the correct number in the ‘My Number’ box including the area prefix (even if this is a local call).
- Make sure you have a valid destination number entered into the ’recipient’ box
- Make sure your phone is not diverted to another location or voice mail.
- Check your phone is ‘on-hook’ before you launch the call from Sitris.
- If you are using a cell phone make sure you have coverage.
Sitris calls my number put cannot connect with the recipient number.
- Check the outbound number and make sure you have the correct number in the ‘Recipient Number’ box including the area prefix (even if this is a local call).
- The dialed number may be out of service.
- If you are calling a cell phone it may be unreachable.
Why was I prompted to upgrade my Flash Player?
Sitris uses Adobe Flash for the user interface, Sitris is compatible with Flash 8 and 9, if you have an earlier version you will be prompted to upgrade your Flash player follow the link to the Adobe web site and follow the simple instructions. If you are behind a company firewall you may need to request the IT administrator to update your flash player.
